There are plenty of Outer Banks attractions and exciting things to do in the beautiful areas surrounding our hotel in Nags Head. Explore the ocean’s edge at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, or see where the first permanent English settlement was almost established. Take a guided hike at Jockey’s Ridge State Park, or learn about marine life at the North Carolina Aquarium.

Our central location puts the best beach activities right outside your door. Swim in the Atlantic Ocean, work on your tan, or head out on the water for skiing, parasailing, and ocean kayaking.

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center

Observe one of the largest fleets of sports fishing boats on the mid-Atlantic Coast at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. In season, boats return to port between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. with daily catches. The inlet is a major departure point for charter fishing trips.

There’s always something fun to do near Ramada Plaza Nags Head. Try hang gliding, golf, tennis, wind surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, air tours, canoeing, scenic boat tours, sailing, surf fishing, charter boat fishing, exploring old shipwrecks, and strolling the lovely unspoiled beaches. Fishing is allowed from three local piers (24 hours a day, in season), or simply cast your line from the beach. You can also visit some or all of the nearby lighthouses, and take home photos of their solitary beauty.
